BPSDB Climate Despot has targeted Rudy Baum, so how about showing him a little love?
Baum is the editor of Chemical & Engineering News, the publication of the American Chemical Society. About a month ago I reported on the tempest in a teapot that got raised because Baum had the gall to talk rationally about real science in the newsletter of a scientific association. This is always an unpardonable sin to the Denialosphere.
It seems Baum has annoyed Marc ‘Wormtongue’ Morano by once more plainly stating facts, this time in short piece Pro-Con | Is global warming a real threat to the planet? – Kansas City Star. The Con statement is by Dianna Cotter, an Examiner writer who’s grasp of simple science rivals that of Christopher Monckton‘s and other slime molds.
As is often the case with the popular media there is an opinion poll accompanying the article, so naturally Morano’s Orc minions are heading over to vote and comment. Show a little love for Baum and at least vote, and preferably comment to sharpen the contrast between rational, informed citizens and the Deniers. Feel free to comment on some of Cotter’s other absurd claims; it’s all the standard tripe so it won’t take more than a couple of minutes.
UPDATE: Oooo look, Climate Despot has front paged me again as “Climate Fear Promoter.” So that’s what we’re calling “rationally presenting facts from credible sources” now? Remind me to be impressed if Morano ever even tries, much less manages to substantiate the claim.

Went over and voted.
May I suggest that you alert PZ Meyers to the poll?
He loves polls.
🙂
That should swing the votes in reality’s favour.

If anyone wants to cheat on those voting polls. One person can add as many votes as they want by firstly voting, going into your browsers preferences, find the cookies and delete the cookie for the site that the poll is on.
Then vote again, delete cookie, vote again, delete a cookie…repeat as many times as you like.
BTW, you ain’t seen me right?!
