As per my last post, the Daily Mail ran a piece on ‘The Monckton Affair’ titled “BBC investigated after peer says climate change programme was biased ‘one-sided polemic’“. I attempted to post the following comment to the story, but my comment has never appeared.

Arther Smith http://www.altenergyaction.org/Monckton.html and other climatologists and scientists http://www.realclimate.org/wiki/index.php?title=Christopher_Monckton have repeatedly shown that Monckton’s ‘work’ is laughable, and ‘potty peer’ is a rather kind way of describing him. I hope Ofcom will show good sense and compliment the BBC for having been decorously restrained in their treatment of Monckton
Monckton should go back to his puzzles http://scienceblogs.com/deltoid/2008/09/monkton_and_probabilistic_comb.php and let the serious work continue without his interference.

In fact, there are no comments supportive of the BBC or climate change science. Curious, no?
So I wonder if anyone would be willing to post a polite comment supportive of the BBC, climate science, or perhaps referring to any of Monckton’s work as commented on by Lambert or others, or whatever you like. (Please don’t copy my comment, that’s just so you all know I wasn’t deleted for being rude or abusive, etc) This is just so we can see if it/they ever appear on the Mail’s website.
If you do post please put a copy of what you wrote and the time/date you posted as a comment to this post.
Thanks
Mike
